Improve Your Body and Health !: End for some, not for some

These past few weeks ( 2 weeks to be exact ) have been really hectic for me and the Cultural Unit Theatre kids. Everyone was busy preparing for our very own fashion week ! A first for our campus. I was lucky to only receive the task of getting gifts for the winners of the Fashionista competition , the VIPs and also for all of the great and lovely designers that sponsored some clothing line for the fashion show which was held on the 6th of March 2013. Everyone did a great job in doing their part in making the show a success. A few of the dancers including myself even performed for the event. Diamond and Gangnam Style. I never knew I would be dancing to such song as I kinda despise the song. All and all, it was a great event.

Before the fashion show we had another HUGE event the day before. That's right, the day before on the 5th ! Pre Graduation Dinner for all those seniors that were already in their final semesters. Just imagine doing work, running errands for the fashion during the day and practising our hearts out for the grand dinner. Even though we danced to only one song it was still a hectic week as we had to literally follow the choreography of Siti Nurhaliza's song. I forgot the name of the song. It was all worth it though since everyone in the hall that saw our performance gave us huge applause . The choir department had the largest applause as they did something new and unique from the very first time. I bet none in the audience knew they were capable of doing such performance. Im also grateful that none of the juniors were giving us such hard times as the dinner was actually our (my friends and I) very first event without a bunch of seniors walking infront of us.... minus Sabby who accompanied us to the venue. A big thank you to Shamil and Syafiq who sacrificed their sweat and time in doing our make ups and also helping us with our costume ! I'd look like a drag if it wasn't for those two.

The last event that we had to perform for the semester was held yesterday at a different hotel in Kota Bharu. Anugerah Kecemerlangan Mahasiswa. Basically a night for all those high achievers and excellent students. Not to mention the organizations, leaders and also the sportsmen of our campus. Basically the dance department danced to 5 songs. Tired ? yes ! Worth it ? YES ! I mostly dance because I enjoy it not because of the spotlight or anything but the feeling you get when someone from the audience says you did a good job is beyond everything else ( a hint of exaggeration ) . I was so focused on performing and not smiling for our second/third performance that I did not notice the camera zoomed in on my face ! Thanks to Nana for telling me so. I was also kinda happy that I finally get to perform in front of my peers from my faculty.

I had a lot of fun in training and performing these two events. I'm also kinda sad as these would be the last event I would be performing with some of my seniors. I won't be able to stand and dance on the same stage as them next semester. It's sad. It feels like it was just yesterday that I registered for this family and it was just yesterday that I stalked most of my seniors on Facebook, Twitter and even Google ! I will forever remember every single thing that the seniors have thought me from dancing, leading and also managing events ! Thank you so much to all of you !
